Clickbank Journal Day 2

Hi

Ok yesterday I spent a lot of time just setting things up for this journal. The likes of landing pages, articles etc. Now I managed to get 5 articles submitted yesterday and got them pinged and bookmarked. The articles showed up within the hour.

I got my first sale of the journal today. $31 from one of the articles I wrote and all I done was ping and bookmark. Now I have a plan of action today to write 5 more articles and to heavily start backlinking the first 5 articles I wrote.

The backlinks for today are going to come from web 2.0, other article directories and also blog posting. I have done a lot of blog posting in the past and it has worked extremely well to get high quality backlinks to the articles. I am also considering using some backlink packets but I honestly do not know how effective these are and they are very time consuming.

Once I am in to the full swing of this things should start to roll easier and I will lay out a foundation on which all of you can follow to make this work for you as well.

I can’t emphasise enough how important your keyword research is and you must do this very vigilently. You have to make sure that the time and effort you put into your article writing is worth it because if you are targetting the wrong keywords you will really get nowhere.

I am concentrating this first article marketing promotion on 1 high end product which makes roughly about $90 and another medium one which comes in at roughly $30

I am hoping to get it up to at least 2 sales a day per product before I move on. With that first sale at least I know the first product is converting. I am writing the next 5 articles on the high end product and then will continue to backlink all of them.

As always if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks

Pete

Clickbank Journal Day 1

Hi Guys

Ok the journal is starting today and I am going to be using a clickbank account that I haven’t really dealt with. There is some moeny in it but we will start from today as it is the first day of the week with clickbank.

Clickbank Screenshot Day 1

I am going to be using this account soley through article marketing with a slight twist. I am going to be incorporating a different range of tactics. I will be aiming to get articles, blogs and landing pages ranking for certain well chosen keywords. The aim of this is to dominate the first page of google with articles, blog posts, landing pages and web 2.0

I will be writing less articles and concentrating on getting more of the articles and blog posts etc found on the first page. I have a plan of action for this and there is a list of backlinking methods that I will use and will outline in this journal as we go along.

So for day 1 it is a matter of writing 5 articles and start the backlink onslaught of backlinks 5 good quality articles with a pile of backlinks should be enough to get the listings I am after.

Anyway this is just day 1 and will see how things go.

Thanks

Pete

Clickbank Journal 2010

Hi Everyone

I have been busy with a couple of products that have been launched on plimus so I have not had much time for anything else lately. However now I have decided to start back on a new Journal. This journal is going to soley concentrate on Clickbank.

My Plimus accounts are all taking care of themselves and are pretty much on track to see me through. However I have been concentrating less and less on clickbank and now I feel the time is right to get back into Clickbank with a bang.

This journal is to keep me on track with the goals that are going to be set. I will update everything here that I will be doing on clickbank. This journal will be similar to the last journal. I will choose a few clickbank products to promote and will then write articles, backlink etc until that product is giving the best return possible.

I will concentrate on 1 product at a time and then move onto the next one.The products I promote will be done via a presell landing page and then the customer will be sent to the sales page.

Now for the figures. My main target is for $75,000 just from clickbank before 01 Feb 2011. There will be a lot going on in my life after Feb 2011 and this target was set to make sure things are in place for me. I truly believe this target is achieveable after my last journal. I will have to get the figures up to about $200 a day and then keep them their for the rest of the journal.

I will probably end up using about 10 products throughout this journal that will be the basis of most of the money. As I said I will be doing one product at a time and then moving onto the next until I am getting between 1-2 sales per product per day.

This journal will only be with clickbank and my figures amounts and screenshots will be updated once per month.

I will post updates on this blog every other day to let you all know what is happening.

As always if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for reading.

First Plimus Product coming very soon!

Hi Guys

I Know I havent posted for a while but I have been busy working on my first plimus product. I have been working hard behind the scenes and I have learnt from my past mistakes. I am not going to release this product until I am sure that it will convert well for all of you.

I have been testing this product and It has been doing well so far. With article marketing It has been converting at about 1 in 25 with PPC it has been converting at about 1 in 30.

I have been testing this for 4 days now. 4 affiliates have been promoting this via PPC and article marketing now over the 4 days they have managed to accumulate 9 sales. Now I know this product converts and it will be released very soon. I just thought I would let you all know what I have been doing for the last 2 weeks.

So far with PPC for every $30 spend the return is $117 so the ROI is really good. I also have quite a good affiliate that is promoting this through article marketing only and so far she has generated 73 hits and 3 sales so the potential is there for this to be a very good product.

I will not release the details of it just now it was just really to give you a heads up of what I was up to in the meantime.

I will write a short post soon about what I have planned for 2010 but if you are into the gaming niche then you are about to make a whole load of money.

Stay tuned for further details

Thanks

Pete

The reasons behind my non disclosure of Niches and products and Pen names!

Hi Guys

I just thought I would post this quickly as there has been a lot of questions asked if I am going to reveal my products that have made me the money or my pen names for my articles. I have been advised that it would be detrimental to my business that I release this information. I understand that a lot of you have been wanting this information but please put yourself in my shoes. If you had a business that was making you a serious amount of money would you release the products that would open up the doors to an unended amount of competition?

I am all for helping all of you and there is a few things I have up my sleeve that will help you all tremendously however I will not risk my income and that of my family to wipe out all I have worked for for the last 9 months.

I will give you all the information you need to get you going in internet marketing and I will show you all how to do it step by step, I will also test other methods of free internet marketing for you and post the results. At the start of this journal If I am honest I did not think that this journal would be followed as much as it has and I am glad I have been an inspiration to a lot of you. This journal was initially setup for me to be accountable to myself and that is all. It has snowballed into something I would never have dreamed about.

All that I am asking is that you don’t hound me to jeopordise the living that I have made for me and my family. I did not mean to decieve any of you as most of you know I am an upfront guy. Generally if I say I am going to do something then I will do it. I have taken a lot of flak from people that have told me I shouldn’t be giving half of the information I have away for free but I have fended them off and kept going.

I am going to keep this blog going if only for the fact that people have a place to come to find useful and relevant information without having to shell out $100 for the priviledge of outdated information. I will continue to keep all the information I have for free and I will not go back on that whatsoever.

I do hope that you can all understand my situation and I do hope you all continue in your quest to become self sufficient with internet marketing. You all have been a true inspiration to me and I believe that together we can help each other.

If you do have any questions regarding this blog post please either contact me via email or leave a comment here,

I thank you all for your understanding.

Pete

Article Directories or Your Own Blog – What Lists Better?

Hi Guys

This post has come from a discussion on the Warrior Forum where a few people believe that it is better to post your articles to your own site rather than to the article directories and be able to achieve better listings in google. A few of the guys over their think that it is entirely possible to achieve the same listings with your own domain that it is with the article directories.

Now this has peaked my interest enough to give it a test and see what the results come up with. I do honestly hope that an article on your own blog can out do the article directories but I am yet to be convinced, hence why I am setting up this test. It would be so much better to be able to post articles on your own blog and get them listed in google just as quick and get the listing and traffic to your own domain. This would be a lot better as you can control everything then on your own. You will be able to monetize your article a lot better as you would not have any leaks in the form of google ads to distract the customer.

So here is what I am going to be doing. I will use a brand new domain name that will have a landing page just like any of my other products I promote. I will then create a subdomain and install a wordpress blog on it. I will then start writing articles for the blog and I will promote those articles just like I have done in the past with the article directories. So I will ping and bookmark the article on my blog and then submit it to other article directories with a link back to the main article on my blog. I will then start to get links from other blogs in my niche and then link them back to the main article in the blog. This is the same thing I was doing with articlesbase but changing that for my own blog.

OK the things I will be looking for in this test is the following –

1. How quickly the blog article can get listed on google. With articlesbase I can get an article listed easily within 30 minutes. Just under 10 minutes is my record. So I would like to see the exact same response from the blog article.

2. The Initial Listing of the blog article – With Articlesbase done correctly I can get an instant page 1 listing after the article is listed. Speed is of the essence here because the higher the listing you start with the immediate inflow of traffic you receive. You want the maximum exposure of the article you can get resulting in the traffic and sales/

3. The amount of time spent on 1 article – This is the deciding factor for me as I do write a lot of stuff and if I have to spend an extra hour a day or half hour a day on 1 article then this will hold me up a great deal.

4. Keyword Use – I will be using the exact same technique as I have with the article directories Keyword once in the title, 3 times in the body and once in the Resource. Also in this section I will be choosing a few different keywords. With my keyword research I will split it into 3 sections. 4 Keywords will be on the low end of the scale like very low competition and up to 1000 searches. You can generally get listings with articlesbase top 5 with these sort of keywords. Then 4 keywords with a bit more competition up to 4000 searches. Then lastly 4 keywords with more competition again round about 75,000 competing pages and anything over 4000 searches. This is the fairest way I can see to test the blog article because I know the listings I can get with articlesbase on these sort of figures and will be able to thouroughly test this out.

Ok I am going to get this started today and see what the initial test results are and I should have some figures or some sort of information to hand tomorrow.

Until then keep watching as I think this could be a very useful experiment for a lot of interested parties. If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks

Pete

End Of Journal Update!

Hi Guys

I have been collating all the information about the journal. Figures for the whole year etc. here is the final update for the journal.

END DEC 31 Figures

Plimus

Sales – 320

Earnings – $8,083.20

Clickbank

Sales – 75

Earnings – $2,343.75

CPA

Conversions – 298

Earnings – $625.8

Total December – $11,052.75

Total for the journal – $55,554.75

I was so close but I am more than happy with the effort and the earnings I made in this journal.

With clickbank in december the sale slowed dramatically over the festive period which is what I expected. However plimus seemed to just go through the roof. On christmas day with plimus I broke my record and managed to get $1005.32 in sales on christmas day I was astounded.

All in all this journal has brought me great happiness and I would just like to say thanks to all of you for following and thanks for all your support throughout this journal it has really meant a lot. There has been ups and downs the whole way through this journal and it has been all of you that has kept me going.

I know I didn’t hit the target of $60,000 but I think it was close enough.

I have decided that I am going to keep this blog going and I have quite a few things up my sleeve for 2010 and there is a few things that might be able to help all of you. I will be posting about that very soon.

I think I am going to use this blog as a basic information portal now. I am going to be testing and trying different methods that all of you can try as well. I will be posting updates about how things turn out.

I am also working on a new product. This one is basically done and I am in the testing methods at the moment. The way things are looking this product will make both of us a lot of money.

I won’t say too much about this at the moment but I can say it is not an IM product. I will be sending you all an email very soon about the product what you can expect and also how you can go about promoting it.

Anyway enough of that just now. I hope you all had a great christmas and a great new year and I hope 2010 brings you all that you all desire.

Until next time.

Keep working hard.

Pete

Backlinking Your Main Articles and What you MUST Do!!!

Hi Guys

A lot of you have asked me for a post like this. I think it could be beneficial for everyone.

OK firstly let me emphasise. If you do every single step of this manually you will end up writing a lot less articles but the articles that you do write should land on page 1 of google.

After you have submitted your article to articlesbase or EZA, whichever one you use, you need to start thinking about building backlinks to that article. The way I used to do this manually was to build the backlinks immediately after I submitted my main article. That way you won’t miss any of these steps and it will make it easier.

What you need is a list of places that you are going to use as backlinks to your main article. Now as soon as I have submitted my main article I bookmark that article using onlywire. You usually only have to wait for about 5 minutes before the full list has been bookmarked. You will have to goto onlywire and finalize about 4 sites that hasn’t been completed.

After I have done that I will goto http://www.pingler.com and submit the article there. With the title in Pingler make sure you put in the keyword you are targetting. Let pingler finish the submissions and move on ( usually after I have completed these 2 steps it takes google about 10 minutes to find my article and spider it! )

There is also a couple of sites that I use for more social bookmarking. The 2 other sites I use is Clipmarks.com and Amplify.com When you install the clipmarks toolbar both these sites are available for you to bookmark to. The process of bookmarking to these 2 sites should take about 5 minutes tops.

That is all I do for the social bookmarking and pinging of the main article. Now we can move on to the other article directories.

Now that the main article has been found by google I proceed to submit the exact same article to between 6 – 10 other article directories, Now this can take a long time but it is worth it, If you have the money you can outsource this job to someone else and pay them to do it, or you can get software that will do this job for you.

Anyway if you are doing this manually you should register with the following article directories –

www.isnare.com
www.ideamarketers.com
www.goarticles.com
www.easyarticles.com
www.articlealley.com
www.articledashboard.com

These are the main 6 that I use If you goto google and do a search for ” high pr article directories ” there will be more that you can choose from However many more you do is entirely up to you.

Now we should have quite a few links pointing back to the main article. It is now time to move onto web 2.0 sites.

You could be submitting one article all day if you done all of these sites but it is best to choose a few of them and stick with the ones that have the good pulling power. The ones that I currently submit to are below –

www.squidoo.com
www.blogger.com
www.wordpress.com
www.weebly.com
www.hubpages.com

These are the main 5 I use. I still do these sites manually as they don’t really take that long. What I mainly do is copy the article that I used as my main article and put it into these sites. Add a few modules to them and then move onto the next one. These sites have a good authority with google and they can increase the power of your linking to your main article quite dramatically.

Now we can move onto Press Releases. There is only one site I use for this and that is PRlog.com I know I should use more but I do not see the point at this part of the process. I could go back and use more if I am not getting the listings that I want. With PRlog all you need to do is copy the main article and put your link in it and submit and that is it. Remember however that PRlog limits the amount of links in the article dependent on how many words are in the article. They also do not allow anchor text so just put a link to the main article.

After this I would then goto Yahoo Answers. Now admittedly I do not do much of this but I always try to answer at least 2 or 3 answers. If you click the advanced search in Yahoo answers and do a search for open questions for your keyword you are targetting and then expand to different keywords. Make sure your answer is detailed and only leave a link to the article in the source box of your answer. Do this 2 or 3 times for each article. This should cover yahoo answers.

Forum posting is one of the hardest things to find but once you do it makes it so much easier. Firstly If you are using firefox get a plugin called SEOQuake and istall it in firefox and turn it on you will see a small symbol in the bottom right hand side of your browser. Right click this symbol and select “line through “nofollow” and “noidex”. Now goto google ant type the follow with the quotes into the search ” Your Niche ” + ” Forums” this will bring up a list of forums in your niche. Now you have to visit all these forums and find ones that allow signature links. Once you have found some make sure the links in the signature is not crossed through. If the signature links are not crossed through this means that these links are do follow so register and start posting. I usually start with about 5 posts for the first day and If you are still not getting the listings then go back and post more.

Blog Posting – This is very similar to forum posting and you have to use SEOQuake in Firefox the same way as you did with the forum posting. If the comments in the blog are crossed through these are no follow links and won’t supply link juice to the article.

If you are doing forum posting and blog posting along with yahoo answers you might think it is pointless putting the article down and why not just link to your website? The reason for this is that if you use your article then you are linking to information for people. It is not just a blatant website promotion. It is harder for people to report your post because you are providing the user with further information on the topics that they require. This also helps with getting blog comments approved and all these are backlinks to your main article.

Now if you do this step by step repeatedly with no break the majority of the keywords you target you should get to the first page of google no problems at all.

You should always have a plan set out even before you write that first article. If you have to print out this post, or write out the steps in this post on a bit of paper and cross out each step as you do it, or put this into your to do list on your pc and tick it off as you do it. The main point behind this post is to get you to draw up a plan of attack when you are doing article marketing because no matter how good your article is if you cannot get it found the article will die and get no views and the time spent on the article will be worthless.

So if you take nothing from this post than to set out a plan and follow it then it has worked. Be consistant and do this on a daily basis and you WILL see results. As you start to make some money from this invest it and outsource most of this work to someone else freeing up your time to write more articles or do other things to bring you more money.

I hope this has been a worthwhile and interesting post for you to read and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to either email me or leave a comment.

Thanks

Pete
