Clickbank Journal Day 2

Hi

Ok yesterday I spent a lot of time just setting things up for this journal. The likes of landing pages, articles etc. Now I managed to get 5 articles submitted yesterday and got them pinged and bookmarked. The articles showed up within the hour.

I got my first sale of the journal today. $31 from one of the articles I wrote and all I done was ping and bookmark. Now I have a plan of action today to write 5 more articles and to heavily start backlinking the first 5 articles I wrote.

The backlinks for today are going to come from web 2.0, other article directories and also blog posting. I have done a lot of blog posting in the past and it has worked extremely well to get high quality backlinks to the articles. I am also considering using some backlink packets but I honestly do not know how effective these are and they are very time consuming.

Once I am in to the full swing of this things should start to roll easier and I will lay out a foundation on which all of you can follow to make this work for you as well.

I can’t emphasise enough how important your keyword research is and you must do this very vigilently. You have to make sure that the time and effort you put into your article writing is worth it because if you are targetting the wrong keywords you will really get nowhere.

I am concentrating this first article marketing promotion on 1 high end product which makes roughly about $90 and another medium one which comes in at roughly $30

I am hoping to get it up to at least 2 sales a day per product before I move on. With that first sale at least I know the first product is converting. I am writing the next 5 articles on the high end product and then will continue to backlink all of them.

    awesome pete.i am eager to see how this journal goes although i have no doubt that this will be a success too just like the previous journal.
    I found two instances of the tag cloud in your blog.i think you can remove one of them.

    Hopefully it can keep us all on track and this one will allow people a step by step plan that they can put into action as well. Thanks for the heads up on the tag cloud I never even noticed the one down the bottom. All taken care of now.

    Hey Pete –

    I’d love it if you could provide some insight on landing pages. I’m pretty comfortable with being able to get traffic, but I have a hard time getting it to convert.

    Hi Jeremy

    The best thing I can tell you about the landing pages is not to hold back. I try to close the sale with my landing pages and generate an urgency in the customer. A lot of people tell you to do a soft sell but I generally have found that the hard sell works 10 times better.

    Create an urgency and give the customer plenty of links to get through to the sales page.

    I am using Clickbank from last some months and mostly I have used Ezine Articles with some success. Though article on Ezine articles rank pretty well on Search engines sometime, it’s strictness over backlinks (only to be put in Author section) is something which I don’t like.

    I have seen that Articlebase.com provide facility to put backlinks in article body also and we can put some sort of promotional anchor, which is good. However I am not sure if articlebase article rank well on Search engine.

    Can you please guide me over this? Should I switch to Articlebase from Ezinearticles?
